AROUND THE GREENHOUSE
For the last few weeks, the weather has been warm enough for me to do most of my plant chores.  Let us hope that this warm spell continues well into September.  The greenhouse is getting better, but most important, the plants are doing very well.



Greetings from a plant enthusiast who spends a lot of spare time growing and selling plants. I have profound interest in succulents, but I can also be very excited by other exotic plants.  managing plants in the UK , is not a very easy pastime, The cold and inclement weather for most of the year sometimes do a lot of damage to my collection.  Yet I struggle on.












You usually start with what you presume is a reasonable greenhouse size, but it takes only a few months to realize that you are wrong, as the space, within a few months, very soon becomes overcrowded  .

GROWING PERESKIA The Original Cactus Needs Your Attention Pereskia are really not very well-known plants. Even among succulent lovers, they are certainly not highly prized. The fact they are a significant part of the Cataceae group still does not reward them special attention. Often, botanists will tell you, that they are usually found only in botanical gardens. Yet, they serve as a significant starting point for the debate about the origin of cacti. For some, these are the first cacti, before evolution and mutation took its course; the debate on the origin of succulents rages on daily.
