Anthuriums
Anthurims belong to the Arum family, and has a genue of over 1000 species of flowering plants. They appear in all shapes and sizes. But it is the Anthurium andraenum, and schezerianum which hugs the spotlight because of their colorful spathes; and they have become become the important ingredient for many hybrid species. They are native to tropical America, and will grow best in hot shady humid conditions. They are found on trees like many epiphytes, or are grown in pots as houseplants.
